StoreOS

A live map of where things actually are in a store, built by scanning while you work.

Simulation

The demo uses a fictional store, Fernwood Market, with simulated history.

The StoreOS start screen in a phone frame with options to snap the store, type it in, or try the demo store.

The problem or experience

Inventory systems describe what a store should look like. Workers live in what it actually looks like. StoreOS treats every scan, put-away and 'not here' as an observation.

Who it's for

Store workers and retail operations people.

My contribution

It is my project: an Android-first progressive web app with a demo store.

What works today

  • Try the demo store with two weeks of simulated crew history.
  • Set up a store by photographing aisle signs or by typing aisles in, per the README.

Limitations

  • The demo store and its history are fictional and simulated.
  • I haven't tested it in a real store.
